The Parent Cop™ Onboard Diagnostic (OBD) Global Positioning System (GPS) tracker plug into the OBD port of the car located under the steering wheel. The OBD GPS tracker requires no wires to work, it draws power from the OBD port utilizing the cars battery and contains a built-in antenna along with a GPS module to receive the GPS signal. The OBD trackers communicate with the different subsystems located in the car, thus able to receive vehicle diagnostic and related data.
Parent Cop™ give parents the ability to track and monitor the activity of their personally owned vehicle via the OBD GPS tracker, by tracking the cars movements and determine its real time location, especially if the vehicle is being used by a teenage driver or elderly family member.
By utilizing a cellular SIMS card the OBD GPS tracker is able communicate with the cell tower to send the location and other vehicle performance data to the server over a cellular wireless network., And when necessary parents can opt to send a special SMS command(s) to the tracker.
Using the Parent Cop™ GPS tracking software all of the vehicles activities can be displayed on a personal computer, tablet and or smart phones.
